Central Oregon has the largest collection of kokanee fishing hot spots in the state and one of the best rosters of fisheries in the world.
The southern Willamette Valley near Eugene is home to the McKenzie River and its famous redside rainbow trout. The Willamette River and Dorena and Hills Creek reservoirs also have great angling.
The Portland area and northern Willamette Valley have good fishing in the Clackamas, Sandy and Willamette rivers, Hagg and Harriet lakes and Multnomah Channel.
